Why we fly.

Why we fly. explores a passion for flight, embodied by pilot and instructor Markus Walz. The poetic film portrait follows him through a day of flying, connecting his work today with a fascination that began in childhood. Created in collaboration with GLARNAIR, the film was a group semester project by Vanessa Buffato, Alessandro Romeo and me.

My contribution

I was responsible for cinematography, audio recording and sound design. We developed the concept, narrative structure, storyboard and production plan together as a team. I worked with Alessandro on the rough cut and with Vanessa on the fine cut.
